Sunrise Enterprises is honored to announce that the Cow Creek Umpqua Indian Foundation has generously awarded a grant of $14,500 to support the upgrade of the Point-of-Sale (POS) system at our Myrtle Creek Sunrise Shop & Save retail location. This funding marks a critical step forward as we implement the second of five planned upgrades across our stores. The first upgrade was successfully completed at our Roseburg store, setting the stage for smoother operations and enhanced customer service.
These upgrades are essential to our operations. The existing POS systems are significantly outdated and unable to process newer credit cards. This limitation has negatively impacted our sales, inconvenienced customers, and created longer wait times for both customers and staff. With the installation of the new system, Sunrise Enterprises will not only be able to serve customers more efficiently but also provide a streamlined training process for our 45 program participants, empowering them with modern, transferable skills.
“We are deeply grateful to the Cow Creek Umpqua Indian Foundation for their continued support,” said Jane Maritz, Executive Director at Sunrise Enterprises. “This grant represents an investment not only in our organization but also in our community. By upgrading our POS system, we’re improving the customer experience, enhancing our ability to train individuals with disabilities, and ensuring the sustainability of our mission to provide purpose and inclusion to all.”
As Sunrise Enterprises celebrates its 56th year of service, we are committed to fostering inclusion, purpose, and opportunity for individuals with disabilities. The support from the Cow Creek Umpqua Indian Foundation brings us closer to achieving our vision of a more accessible and thriving community.
